98jl recognises the importance of data privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of every player on our platform. For the purposes of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and applicable PAGCOR regulations, 98jl acts as the Personal Information Controller (PIC) in respect of personal data collected through the 98jl platform. As PIC, 98jl determines the purposes for which and the means by which personal data is processed.

Where 98jl engages third-party service providers who process personal data on our behalf — such as payment processors, identity verification platforms, or technology providers — those parties act as Personal Information Processors (PIP) and are bound by contractual obligations to process data only in accordance with 98jl's instructions and in compliance with Philippine data privacy law.

98jl collects personal data through several means: information you provide directly, data generated automatically through your use of the platform, and information received from third parties in the course of verifying your identity or processing payments.

• Device & Technical Data: IP address, device type, operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution, and unique device identifiers.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, game sessions played, duration of visits, click patterns, and feature interactions within the 98jl platform.
• Location Data: Country and region-level geolocation inferred from IP address, used for regulatory compliance (verifying that you are accessing from a permitted jurisdiction).
• Session Logs: Login timestamps, session durations, and logout events.
• Cookie and Tracking Data: See Section 7 for full details on our use of cookies and similar technologies.

98jl uses your personal data only for specific, legitimate purposes. We do not process personal data for purposes incompatible with those listed below, and we do not sell personal data to third parties for commercial gain.

• Account Management: Creating, maintaining, and administering your 98jl account, including login authentication and account security monitoring.
• Identity Verification (KYC): Verifying your identity and age (21+) in compliance with PAGCOR regulations and anti-money laundering requirements applicable to online gaming operators in the Philippines.
• Payment Processing: Processing deposits and withdrawals via GCash, PayMaya, BPI, BDO, Metrobank, and other supported Philippine payment channels. Confirming payment ownership and detecting fraudulent transactions.
• Game Services: Providing access to games, recording game outcomes, calculating balances, applying bonuses, and maintaining bet history records.
• Customer Support: Responding to support queries, resolving disputes, and maintaining records of support interactions for quality assurance purposes.
• Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Meeting obligations under PAGCOR licensing conditions, the Data Privacy Act of 2012, the Anti-Money Laundering Act, and any other applicable Philippine law.
• Responsible Gaming: Monitoring gaming behaviour to identify indicators of problem gambling and administering responsible gaming tools including deposit limits, session controls, and self-exclusion programmes.
• Platform Security & Fraud Prevention: Detecting, investigating, and preventing fraudulent activity, money laundering, account takeovers, and abuse of the 98jl platform.
• Platform Improvement: Analysing anonymised or aggregated usage data to improve platform performance, game selection, and the overall player experience.
• Marketing (with consent only): Sending promotional communications about 98jl bonuses, new games, and platform updates where you have consented to receive such communications. You may withdraw this consent at any time.

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, 98jl is required to have a lawful basis for each processing activity. The applicable legal bases for our data processing are as follows:

• Contractual Necessity: Processing required to fulfil our obligations under the Terms and Conditions you accepted when registering your 98jl account — including account management, payment processing, and game services.
• Legal Obligation: Processing required to comply with PAGCOR licensing conditions, the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA), the Data Privacy Act, and other applicable Philippine laws — including KYC, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
• Legitimate Interests: Processing for fraud prevention, platform security, and responsible gaming monitoring, where our legitimate interest in protecting the platform and its players does not override your privacy interests.
• Consent: Processing for optional marketing communications and the use of non-essential cookies, where you have given explicit, freely withdrawable consent.

98jl does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for their own commercial purposes. We share personal data only in the following strictly limited circumstances:

• Payment Processors: GCash (Mynt), PayMaya, BPI, BDO, Metrobank, and InstaPay receive the minimum personal and financial data necessary to process your deposit or withdrawal. These parties operate under their own privacy policies and relevant Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) regulations.
• KYC and Identity Verification Providers: Third-party identity verification platforms receive the identity documents and biometric data you submit during KYC verification. These providers are bound by contractual obligations consistent with the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
• PAGCOR and Regulatory Authorities: We are required to share transaction records, player data, and compliance reports with PAGCOR and other Philippine government bodies as directed by our licensing conditions or applicable law.
• Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC): Suspicious transaction reports and required financial disclosures are filed with AMLC in compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering Act and its amendments.
• Technology and Platform Service Providers: Cloud hosting providers, platform infrastructure operators, and IT security vendors may process personal data as part of delivering backend services. These parties are engaged under data processing agreements and are not authorised to use your data for their own purposes.
• Law Enforcement: In response to a valid legal order, court order, subpoena, or formal request from a Philippine law enforcement authority, 98jl may disclose personal data to the extent required by law.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of all or part of 98jl's business, personal data held by 98jl may be transferred to the acquiring entity, subject to continued compliance with this Privacy Policy and the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

The 98jl platform uses cookies and similar technologies (including local storage and session storage) to enable the platform to function correctly, remember your preferences, and analyse how the platform is used. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or to track your activity across websites unrelated to 98jl.

• Strictly Necessary Cookies: Required for the platform to function. These include session authentication cookies that keep you logged into your 98jl account and security cookies that protect against cross-site request forgery. These cannot be disabled without impairing platform functionality.
• Functional Cookies: Remember your preferences such as language, last-visited game category, and responsible gaming settings. Disabling these may affect your experience but will not prevent access to the platform.
• Analytical Cookies: Collect anonymised data about how players navigate the platform — which pages are visited most, where users experience errors, and how long sessions last. This data is used solely to improve the 98jl platform. Analytics data is processed in aggregate and is not linked to individual player identities.

You may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings at any time. However, disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from logging in to your 98jl account. While 98jl takes all reasonable steps to protect your personal data, no online platform can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your own login credentials and for ensuring that your device and network are reasonably secure when accessing 98jl.

98jl retains your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, and in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory retention obligations. The following retention periods apply:

• Active Account Data: Retained for the full duration of your active 98jl account, and for a minimum of five (5) years following permanent account closure, as required by PAGCOR and AMLC regulations.
• KYC and Identity Documents: Retained for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of submission, in compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering Act and PAGCOR's record-keeping requirements.
• Transaction Records: Retained for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of the transaction, as required for AMLC compliance and PAGCOR auditing purposes.
• Support Interaction Records: Retained for two (2) years from the date of the interaction, or longer where required in connection with an unresolved dispute or regulatory investigation.
• Analytical and Usage Data: Retained in anonymised or aggregated form indefinitely for platform improvement purposes. No individual player is identifiable in anonymised datasets.
• Marketing Consent Records: Retained until you withdraw consent, plus one (1) year for compliance audit purposes.

When personal data is no longer required and no legal retention obligation applies, 98jl will securely delete or irreversibly anonymise the data in accordance with our internal data disposal procedures.

As a data subject under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the following rights with respect to the personal data held by 98jl. You may exercise any of these rights by contacting our support team via live chat or at [email protected]. 98jl will respond to all data rights requests within thirty (30) days of receipt.

The 98jl platform is strictly for individuals aged twenty-one (21) years or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from any person under the age of 21. PAGCOR regulations require that all registered players undergo age verification before processing any withdrawal, and 98jl enforces this requirement rigorously.

If 98jl becomes aware that personal data has been collected from a person under the age of 21 — whether through registration, KYC review, or any other means — that person's account will be immediately suspended, all associated data will be reviewed, and the account will be permanently closed. Winnings held in an underage account will be forfeited and any deposited real-money balance may be returned to the payment source subject to verification.

Players are responsible for ensuring that minors do not have access to their 98jl account credentials or to devices on which the 98jl platform is logged in. If you suspect that a minor has accessed a 98jl account, please notify our support team immediately.

98jl reserves the right to update or amend this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in our data processing practices, applicable Philippine law, or PAGCOR regulatory requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy will be revised accordingly whenever a change is made.

Where changes are material — meaning they substantially alter how we collect, use, or share your personal data — we will notify you via a prominent notice on the 98jl platform and, where possible, via your registered mobile number or email address, at least fourteen (14) days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the 98jl platform after the effective date of any revised Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the revised Policy, you may close your account as described in the Terms and Conditions.

If you are not satisfied with 98jl's response to a data privacy complaint, you have the right to escalate the matter to the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines, the government body responsible for enforcing the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
